Upcoming Events

We're getting settled into our classroom routines and schedules and wanted to let you know about a few upcoming events:

We've been talking about our families this week and creating our family tree.  Next week, we will make a family crest to bring in and share with the class on Friday, Sept. 10.  More instructions will follow.

We are also finishing up assessing the students and will then form small groups to work with the students at their own levels.  Group work will be each day from 9-10 a.m. and might involve some students going to one of the other K/1 classes in order to best meet everyone's needs.  We will keep you posted when this starts.

We are hoping to start our field trips to Imaginon soon.  We are scheduled to do these on the first and third Wednesday, but don't have an exact time yet.  This will require at least one parent chaperone each trip.  Please let me know if you would be willing to join us and we can work out a schedule.

Finally, we have a field trip scheduled for Thursday, October 28th to the Myers Park Presbyterian  Phantom of the Organ-- A Spooktacular Event.  More details will follow.

Please also keep in mind that your $15 monthly activity contribution helps to pay for these field trips and some of the extra things that we do in the classroom.  You can send in your money at any time.
